Hey Guys! It’s really frustrating to make your makeup last all day long, especially if you have oily skin. We all have experienced smearing makeup and shiny face or smudging foundation. The best ways to make your make up stay put longer are controlling oil and using powder properly. I have a “specialized” make up routine when it’s being warm and humid. Let’s get started!
Apply Shine Free Mist
I am using Etude House Dr. Oil Solution Shine free mist. It has been effective on helping my make up last a lot longer. When I spray it on, it feels that my pores shrink a little bit.
Apply a Primer
I am using Etude House Dr. Oil Solution face primer. It helps with the make up application to be a lot smoother and helps it to stay put.
Use an oil free foundation
Etude House Collagen Moistfull BB Cream is for dry skin. But, may I recommend Etude house Precious Mineral BB Cream in #2 Sheer Glowing skin for oily skin. It has a matte finish with a hint of dewiness.
Here I am using Lise Watier Concealer Wheel. I am using the salmony-ivory color for my dark circles. When Using cream concealers, be sure to apply a hydrating eye cream beforehand. Apply it first on the hollows of your dark circles and be sure to blend it with a cosmetic sponge instead of your fingers because though cream concealers are the most pigmented, they cake when not applied correctly. After blending, reapply to the darkest parts of your dark circles and blend away.
Set Your foundation
I am using Etude House Dr. Oil Solution Powder Pact. May I say, this is the cheapest among the setting powders of Etude House yet, this is the most effective.
Prime your eyes
Here I am using the Urban Decay Primer Potion. This helps to make your eye shadow be more vibrant and stay a lot longer.
Use cream shadows and set it with powder shadows
I set the number 2 single shadow with number 1 and set number 3 with number 4. All are from Etude House. I used a Shawill Palette for my outer corner and highlight
Apply Waterproof liquid liner
Here I am using Etude House LuciDarling Waterproof Liquid Liner. Not a big fan of its pigmentation, but it’s the only waterproof liquid liner I have left so meh.
I am using Etude House Proof 10 Washable Mascara. Whats amazing about this is that it doesn’t smudge even tears fall down your face. A dupe for the Blinc Mascara.
Apply White Liner
Here I am using Fashion 21 Cream Eyeshadow Pencil in Pearl. White liner opens up your eyes and helps you to look more awake. Apply it on your tear ducts and water line
Here I am using Etude House Angel Kiss Lip and Cheek Cream in Sweetie Angel. Cream blushes tend to be more pigmented so if you want a flush of color all day, I advice to use cream blushes. For oily cheeks, set it with a similar colored powder blush
Here I am using Tony Moly Crystal Blush. I apply this above the apples of my cheeks to have a healthy glow and on the bridge of my nose to have the illusion of a taller nose.
Exfoliate you lips
No one wants chapped lips right? For a cheaper alternative to your sugar lip scrub, apply your favorite lip balm generously. Cut out a piece from a cellulose facial sponge and use it to remove dead skin from your lips.
Apply Lip Color
Apply your favorite lip color and you are done! I am using Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in pink pop. I like it a lot because even if I don’t reapply it, it will leave a tint of the pink on your lips.
This is the before and after comparison… See how I look refreshed? Ha! Tell me what you think and care to share your methods on keeping your make up all day? love to hear it
